This small stand is a must-try for matcha lovers. A traditional matcha spot, they offer three kinds of matcha. Based on your preferences you can go for deeper, nuttier flavors or floral and lighter flavors. I tried their hukuju matcha latte with soy milk and loved it. It comes unsweetened but they have simple syrup for you on the side, if you wish to sweeten your matcha. Beautiful color, well-balanced, and earthy. Definitely recommend if you're looking to try some traditional matcha!

Kettl Tea House is a tea house without the “house” part—just a walk-up window inside Bowery Market. No seating, no indoor space, just matcha drinks. The matcha is legit, smooth and well-crafted, but expect a bit of a wait. Would be nice if they had a space for tastings, especially with their range of green teas.

A hit or miss experience depending on whoever is making your latte. The photos of the matcha without a lid and with a lid were from two separate visits. I came when there was zero line, not busy (so the barista had no reason to rush), and the matcha I received was super clumpy. However the matcha powder has reliably been high quality and there are different variations. They have simple syrup and honey you can add after receiving your drink. You can also buy matcha tins and snacks.

I think this is one of the places that sells genuine, high-quality drinks. I usually get the matcha latte but decided to get the hojicha latte for once and I'm glad I did! You can definitely taste the hojicha and I loved how deep and rich it was! The drinks might be a little pricey but I overall like their drinks and how friendly the staff was. Keep in mind they don't really have any seating!

Visited here with my husband and extended family. I generally hate blending high quality matcha with things like the coconut mandarin drink does but curiosity got the better of me. It was refreshing but I found the citrus to be a bit too strong for the matcha. On the other hand the soba cha is perfect. Hot. Cold. Anytime of day, it's delicious. I convinced my aunt to get the hojicha and she highly enjoyed it as did my cousins who got gyokuro and the straight shot on ice. Mr. Mangan, well done for a to go shop.

If you’re a matcha enthusiast, you’ll love the quality and variety of their matcha. They don’t fool you with all different fruity variations or visuals. They are as good as matcha as it is. The only downside is that they don’t have a seat, but with the quality, it is totally okay.

I’ve been seeing the trend of mixing coconut water and matcha, and to be honest I was not a fan of the concept. I thought it would be gross, but was very pleasantly surprised after trying the coconut mandarin matcha. The coconut water is refreshing, without having that weird taste certain brands of coconut water have. The mandarin adds a nice subtle flavor and perfect sweetness so additional sugar isn’t needed, and the color of the matcha speaks for itself. They also have the matcha available for sale that they use in their drinks. I didn’t get a chance to try their other items, but I have a feeling this might be a good spot for someone to try who is willing to explore different matcha flavors.
